Tons of people apparently! This past week my little son, babe son, and I had a free day and took a short trip to Magic Kingdom. I’ve always known about the opportunity for girls to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and be transformed into a princess, but I wanted to check out what a regular haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop was all about….and get in a visit with talking Mickey YEAHHHH!
Immediately upon entering Magic Kingdom, Harmony Barber Shop is located to the left corner. We arrived without a reservation so I went in thinking it might be a no go. Luckily, it was a 5 minute wait! If you do have a wait, you can do so outside or stroll around the park. There were a variety of folks getting a trim…dads, teenage girls, newlyweds….everyone wanted in on the magic! Little son was given an awesome Mickey toy to keep him entertained during his haircut.
Kids can get a standard haircut ($18) or Baby’s First (Disney) Haircut ($25). Each child who gets the first haircut package gets an official “Disney First Haircut” certificate, a lock of hair sprinkled with pixie dust, and a pair of Mickey ears with “My 1st Haircut” on the back. The cost of ears in the gift shop is $15, which means the $25 package is a great price! They will also generously sprinkle on pixie dust once the haircut is over if you’d like. Happy tip…you can only tip in cash! Definitely good to know!!!
We followed this up with a trip to see Mickey at the Town Square Theater. Happy tip…did you know that a few years back Disney debuted a talking Mickey character greet?!?! What the what!!!! All fur (non face) characters cannot speak with this one awesome exception. If you think meeting Mickey is amazing, him talking to you will blow your mind! I think the pictures speak for themselves 🙂

See you real soon!!!!
