Strawberry Trifle

Summer is coming and you might be in search of a new dessert to make.  I’ve got just the thing for you! I was lucky enough this past weekend to attend my goddaughter’s First Communion and brought this delish dish.  I love trifles beacuse they are very easy to customize however you like and are always eye catching.  Simple and fresh, it was a hit!

Ingredients:

Cake: 1 angel food cake

Cream: One 8 oz block of softened cream cheese, One 12 oz tub Cool Whip,  One 14 oz jar of sweetened condensed milk

Glaze: 1-1.5 cup sugar (depending on your taste), 6 tbsp. cornstarch, 6 tbsp. strawberry jello mix, 1 cup water, 4-6 cups of strawberries cut in quarters

1.  Tear cake into pieces

2. Cream together cream cheese, condensed milk, and cool whip

3. Stir sugar, cornstarch, jello mix, and water over medium heat until thick.  Set aside to cool. Fold in strawberries.

4.  Layer the following: 1/3 cake, glaze, cream, cake, glaze, cream, cake, glaze, and cream. Optional: top with strawberry pieces.

Hope you love it!!!!!!!!!!!
