With less than a week to go, it’s time to get that Thanksgiving menu lined up. My goal for a Thanksgiving punch is the following: 1. tastes delightful. 2. seasonally festive and most importantly, 3. keep it simple – at this juncture in my life, I don’t have time for fancy pants custom fruit garnish and specially shaped ice cubes! If you are very lucky (you are), next week I will share my most delicious Pumpkin Square recipe ever. Thanksgiving blessings abound!
Here’s all you need to get the party starte to create your very own Thansgiving Punch aptly named the “Royal Cranberry” until you’ve had several and the name changes to the “Dancing Turkey” 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Crown Royal, Cranberry Juice, Peach Schnapps, and Ginger Ale
Prep for individual AND punch quantities are listed below.
One shot of Crown (1.25 oz)
One shot of ginger ale (1.25 oz)
Splash of peach schnapps (.25 oz)
Double shot of cranberry juice (2.5 oz)
Combine all in an ice filled shaker. Shake and strain into an ice filled glass. To illustrate how awkwardly I handle a shaker, imagine a new dad trying to change a diaper for the first time….just get it done and move on before the dang thing gets out of hand.
Each of these ingredients can be adjusted to taste. If you want an even sweeter drink, substitute an amaretto liquor (such as Disaronno) out with the peach schnapps.
If you want to satisfy the tough guys in the group who don’t need any fancy mixers, keep some Crown out for party goers to mix as they please with cranberry, ginger ale, or have on the rocks.
For a party sized recipe, combine the following:
One bottle of Crown Royal
1/2 of a 2L bottle of ginger ale
3/4 of a 64oz bottle of cranberry juice
1/5 of a 750mL bottle of peach schnapps
Combine and serve over ice!
Can’t wait to see you next week to share in the goodness of Pumpkin Squares!
